Hello DRCers I am writing this tutorial for our new minigame Clay Clash. Yes, you've got it right, we've changed the name from Stealing Creation to Clay Clash. We are looking to do a beta test tomorrow (Saturday, 24th of October 2015) evening at 20:00 PM CEST. Joining the minigame: You can join the game simply by joining the Clay Clash gamemode and then jumping into one out of three portals. Portals: - The blue portal: If you join the blue portal you'll be put in a game in the blue team. - The red portal: If you join the red portal you'll be put in a game in the red team. - The white portal: If you join the white portal you'll be put in the most suitable team for the next game. Purpose: The purpose of the game is to score the most points (individually and with your team) to win the game. You can do this by farming clay. Clay can be obtained by cutting trees, mining ores or killing enemy players. There might come more ways of farming clay in the future. Once you have the clay you can choose what you want to do with it. You can either: - Score points by emptying your inventory at the hoppers in your base. Spoiler: Usage Right-click on the hopper. This will open up an inventory. Click on the clay you want to submit. Right-click can be used to submit all clay of that tier. Left-click can be used to submit that one clay that you clicked on. - Buy tools/armour/food/barriers from the same tier as the clay at the shops. (The crafting benches) Spoiler: Shop Tiers: There are different tiers of clay. Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4. Spoiler: Tiers and explanation 1: Tier one is the weakest tier. It's the one you'll be needing to farm when the game starts. You can farm this tier with your hands to gain tier 1 tools. Woodcutting: You are able to cut Oak trees. Mining: You are able to mine Coal ores. Armour: Leather Tools: Stone 2: Tier two is a tight bit better than tier 1. You'll need tier 1 tools or higher to farm this tier. Woodcutting: You are able to cut Birch trees. Mining: You are able to mine Iron ores. Armour: Iron Tools: Iron 3: Obviously, tier 3 is better than tier 2. You'll need tier 2 tools or higher to farm this tier. Woodcutting: You are able to cut Jungle trees. Mining: You are able to mine Gold ores. Armour: Gold Tools: Gold 4: Tier four is the last and best tier. As you'd probably expect by now, you need tier 3 tools or higher to farm this tier. Woodcutting: You are able to cut Acacia trees. Mining: You are able to mine Diamond ores. Armour: Diamond Tools: Diamond By getting higher tiers you can increase your tools, armour, food and barriers: Better tools will give you the ability to farm higher tiers. Better armour will give you the ability to gain less damage from enemies. Better food will give you the ability to regenerate more health when eating it. There is no such thing as hunger or automatic health regen in Clay Clash. You must eat steak to regen health. Better barriers will have more health and will stay for a longer period. Chunks: The map is divided in chunks. Like every other map in Minecraft. (General knowledge: Chunks have a dimension of 16 on 16 blocks) Spoiler: Clay Clash Map As you can see in the spoiler above, this is a simplified map of Clay Clash. Every square is a chunk. B stands for base, R stands for resources (which means shops and different tiers of ores and trees) and E stands for Emtpy chunk. Every resource chunk, except for the shops, have different tiers. These are randomly generated. Barriers: If you want to protect yourself when farming in a chunk you can use barriers. Barriers are walls around the chunk, which your team can run through when it has your colour. You can run through it by right-clicking on the wall. The other team won't be able to run through it, even if you just ran through. (You'll see what I mean by this when you're trying it out) If you have any questions please ask! Have fun!
